The new Volkswagen Arteon’s been released and if you’ve been a fan of the brand’s movement into the Sedan space over the past decade, then this is set to add further excitement with the introduction of a Fastback and Shooting Brake model to compliment the Sedan.

Model variants include top of the range R line as well as a plug-in Hybrid. The Arteon forms part of Volkswagen ever-expanding empire of 34 new models launched this year. The largest number in the brand’s history.

The Arteon has been the brands Grand Tourer choice since 2017, following the Passat CC branding and will be taking the brands GT aspirations into the next chapter.

Sadly and before you get too excited, this won’t be coming to South Africa with the current Arteon being discontinued locally. But with enough screaming and shouting form the South African market and we could see a change in mind from the German head office.
